One of the hallmarks of a traditional dining room is the crystal chandelier in the center. They are always fairly large and sparkly and always slightly over the top…but often seem out-of-place in modern or contemporary rooms. But, like the rest of the elements in the Room of the Week, the gorgeous glass chandelier helps merge the traditional and contemporary elements to form a transitional room. It’s definitely the piece de resistance this week.
Luckily there are lots of companies making glass chandeliers that are a modern take on classic crystal versions. They come in many price points (#16 is from Walmart and is less than $300.00). Here are a few of my favorites that I think would look fantastic in a transitional room.
