The gorgeous sculpture white chandelier in the Room of the Week is definitely the piece de resistance for me. It’s shape and size make it a focal point in the room, while its color helps it to blend in with the ceiling and allow the rest of the decor to also shine (I talked about this exact principle, taming scale with color, last week in case you missed it).
Since Jeffrey Alan Marks, the designer, is a “million-dollar decorator” the fixture was probably fairly expensive. But, there are many fixtures that will give you that same sculptural feel without the crazy price tag. Here are a few of my current favorites:
