I remember the first time I saw the industrial task table lamp from West Elm. I’d seen versions of this type of task lamp before, but they were either really expensive new or vintage options. I loved the vintage/industrial shape and the multiple finishes. And, now you can find these table lamps everywhere.
And, recently the trend has moved to the wall…there are lots of options for wall-mounted task lamps (or swing-arm, pivoting…whatever you want to call it). Here are some of my favorites in a variety of price points and styles.
These lamps are the perfect piece to add to your home for fall, when it gets dark earlier and you’ll need lights on earlier for nightly tasks. Here are a few different ways to incorporate this trend in your own house:

And, I have a few task lamps around my house. I especially love the wall-mounted lamps by my bed…really cuts down on the number of lamps my little boys can knock over and break!
Do you have a task lamp? Want one? Where would you put one?
