Piece de Resistance: An Eco-Friendly Outdoor Rug

I think the dark patterned rug in the Room of the Week makes the space feel like a true outdoor room. The darker contrasting color really helps to ground the space, organize the furniture and of course create a soft layer for bare feet.

There has been an explosion in the outdoor rug market…you can find any color, style, size and pattern.  And, with the hundreds of rug options made out of recyclable materials it’s easy to keep your patio environmentally friendly.

Here are a few of my favorite eco-friendly options…they are all made from recyclable materials, are easy to maintain (just hose off and clean with soapy water), and are all close to or less than $100.00 for a 4×6 or 5×7 rug.
